I am an author, educator, artist, designer, meditation teacher, and consultant for well-being in arts and culture.

Working as a consultant and mentor, I build and lead joyful multi-generational and multi-disciplinary teams in museums, cultural and public institutions, and art schools. My focus lays on well-being and fulfillment at the workplace. I support strengthening individual skills and talents. I make space for radical honesty to come up with out-of-the-box constellations for teams, so that all may grow.

For me, writing is one way of magic to shift our perception. I offer experimental perspectives on artistic practices, creative living, and contemplation techniques. My books, short stories, essays, and even academic papers are an invitation to live in courage, spaciousness, and humorous self-realization.

Since 2018, I have been professor and head of the Arts and Design Education Institute at the University for Arts and Design in Basel, Switzerland with a team of over 40 creative individuals and up to 120 students. There I strategically rebuild infrastructures and curricula for continuing education to PHD programs.

Since 2000, I have been working globally as educator and consultant. Among other institutions I worked and lectured with RISD and the RISD museum / Rhode Island USA, UdK Berlin, Haus der Kulturen der Welt / Berlin, Ars Electronica / Austria, Kunstuniversität Linz / Austria, Banff Centre for the Arts / Canada, and the Transart Institute /New York.

All over the world, I lead groups in diverse educational settings. I taught preschool kids to Ph.D. students. I was a director at a bilingual school as well as an art academy. I talked to seniors about activism and with managers about well-being. I hosted mindfulness groups in the French countryside and gave conference talks in LA. I taught yoga full-time in the US and owned my own yoga school in Berlin.

I hold a Ph.D. in Arts Education (Berlin University of the Arts), a MA in Media Arts (University of Portsmouth, GB), and a BA in Communication Design (Merz Akademie, Germany).  I am a certified Life Coach (DBCA Berlin/Zurich Switzerland), Playing Big Facilitator (with Tara Mohr, San Francisco, US), Meditation Teacher, and qualified Yoga Teacher (Jivamukti Yoga New York, Spirit Yoga Berlin).

At the end of the day, I would call myself a feminist meditation teacher.

I travel the world with beloved Colin Guthrie King. I am the mom of two wonderful children. I practice Ashtanga Yoga, Metta, and Anapanasati meditation. I love to write in my journal, read and watch crime stories, run with my dog, draw birds, hike in the Alps, eat kale chips, and search for the perfect house.

I am grateful for all my mentors and teachers on her way, no matter if met physically, through writing, audio, or online.
